Kim Bialkoski has loved cooking and gardening since she was a child, and those passions came together many years ago when she first taught herself how to pickle, jam, and preserve the labours of the summer's work. She went on to launch Flora & Farmer, a gourmet preserves company, and Preserve, a storefront and facility dedicated to producing and selling her preserves, as well as dozens of other local food companies' products. After 10 years and many, many thousands of jars, she recently hung up her apron and has been spending her days digging in the garden, riding her bike, and enjoying the local music scene.
