Help Name the new Polar Bear Cubs

Cast your vote today and help us name the two orphaned polar bear cubs that arrived at the Zoo in early December 2017. The two cubs, one male (top photo) and one female (bottom photo), are unrelated and were identified by Manitoba Sustainable Development in separate circumstances as being candidates for transfer to the Leatherdale International Polar Bear Conservation Centre.

Names for both cubs were submitted by the polar bear zookeeper team at the Zoo and chosen for their relevance to Arctic geography.

THE POLL IS NOW CLOSED! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED.

The results will be announced on our website and social media on Friday, January 26. The cubs will make their public debut at 11:00 am Friday morning at the Leatherdale International Polar Bear Conservation Centre. They will remain on exhibit going forward, with access to both indoor and outdoor holding areas. The Zoo is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm.
